Congrats Kelly & Jim!
What a fun-loving and romantic couple, Lucien & I had a blast shooting photos at Jim & Kelly's wedding! They tied the knot aboard the "Skansonia" in Seattle! Following the ceremony drinks, dancing, and toasting...it was SUCH a lovely way to top off a beautiful sunset...with a kiss to seal their marriage! :-)

BRIDAL FASHION SHOOT

This is a NEW session offered through April Greer Photography!!!! TOTALLY NEW TO SEATTLE BRIDES! Essentially its boudoir, fashion, and bridal stuff all rolled into one. This bride wasn't afraid to get sassy in for the camera; her mom helped with lighting, wardrobe, and comic relief! It was a shoot that was more like 'girl-talk' than anything else...awesome results, I'm so stoked about her photos. When people trust me with investment in their photography, I work my tail off to guarantee original and beautiful images...

If you're intersted in a bridal fashion shoot, please call details!
Sorry guys, she's taken. :-)

September 23, 2006
I met Angela through previous clients (you know who you are!) Angela is a fiesty redhead, its no secret! She previously modeled and felt uninhibited by the camera crew at her heels. As much as Fritz reminded me that he is NOT photogenic, its obvious the truth is otherwise! After creating an agenda with the caterer, they were open for anything in regards to pictures. They had a general idea of where the shots should be taken. I don't recall Fritz or Angela being concerned about shots or assigning a shot list or even what direction, style, or feeling they wanted the pictures to evoke. I love feedback from clients, most certainly I welcome it, but on the other hand when there's an element of surprise, when clients allow me to really do what I do, the creativity takes the reins and I'm up in the clouds, absorbed inside my viewfinder... I think it was a mutual understanding, their wedding was going to be a blast and we'd better just keep up with them. :-) Romanians are crazy!!!! Linda & Suzy were stellar attention to detail, food, guests' cravings. It was an extravagant event to say the least!

Tiffany & Josh

Once again we've made use of the wonderful lighting provided by Seattle's best softbox: CLOUDS! A lovely, chipper, upbeat, and downright funny couple.... I love Tiff's sense of adventure and spunk. Not to mention she's incredibly bold in front of the camera! Watch those hands...*grin* Josh, basically, he's so comical, he deserves his own channel. Or better yet, his own network. They kept me in stitches, as long as he kept moving his lips we were all laughing! Enjoy the pictures and watch for their classy wedding next year on

Abigail & Seth
I loved that Seth & Abigail were in the mood for impromtu stuff despite the pending weather situation (seattle's famous for something other than coffee!)...At the beginning of the shoot she groaned "I'm not feeling very photogenic today." At that point it was like a quest to pull it out of her... I love a challenge! I had a great time working with them, they were super easy going and she and I have a Gospel Choir background in common, although I'm sure she's way better than I am. Look out American Idol...You can tell she has "pipes" just by the way she talks! Seth, he's calm, cool, collective. I love his sense of humor and I don't know what Abigail was doing to get him to smile, but it worked! They make a super cute couple....From my profesional photographer opinion...her eyes were intoxicatingly GREEN! I couldn't stop with just a few pictures! I love pulling the subtle aspects out of people and transforming it into art...hee hee...

Its a bird, its a plane, no, its ME! This is the the only picture posted to my blog, the first ever! I'd like to introduce myself to everyone and crown this new blog with the hopes of showing my latest work and keep everyone in the loop.... I've been reluctant to do so because I would hate for appearance to the be the reason people do or don't book with me. Ageism, sexism, etc. they're all realities of today in choosing to work with vendors. On the flip side I want people to be familiar with me as their photographer, and to know that I'm not a moldy oldy or grumpy photographer.
Lastly, I'm no beauty queen, but I think this photo shows me having a good hair day. Thanks RAY for taking this picture, I've got wedding on my mind....

some of my favorites!

Here are a few snaps from the most recent engagement session, Sept. 12th. I was so excited to work with this couple, especially because THEY were excited! Megan & Travis were a delight, the weather really played into our favor, the spots they chose were excellent...it was an awesome shoot! I like engagement photos because people can really be themselves without spectators, stressful coordinators tapping their watches...Megan & Travis are just SO in love, they're high school sweethearts, went away to college after HS, and then discovered that they loved being close to home AND they loved each other. She said "we're not independants!" Its funny, because they are so unique, but mesh really well together. Although I'm sure at one point they were nervous about having their photos taken, it doesn't show. Megan will be a beautiful bride and Travis, of course at handsome groom. October 3rd, the big day, is just around the corner!
Crystal & Joey

A few more snaps from Crystal & Joey's wedding....

Cheers to Crystal & Joey! These lovebirds tied the knot September 16th. Here are a few snaps from their wedding held in Tacoma with the reception in Puyallup. I remember their personalities vividly on the day they came for a wedding consultation early spring. They were bubbly, excited, eager to tell me about the details of their proposal and wedding! I knew right away that we had a great connection and they had a strong love for each other. We had such a great time it felt like we were old friends, but in reality we were meeting for the first time.Love truly makes people feel welcome and radiates! Crystal and Joey glowed yesterday, all day long, more so after the limo ride....they had tons and tons of guests surrounding them, congratulating them throughout the day. Crystal's vows included the phrase "you are my sunshine." Enjoy the photos and congrats!!
