I kind of crashed Stephanie's wedding yesterday, what a stinker I am! Feeling a little stage fright & rusty behind the camera, I approached her a while back about my 'issues' and she graciously conceded to let me crash/tag along at one of her weddings. Isn't that the sweetest thing? Its a blessing for me to have friends like her.
Once again I discovered her gift for putting her couples at ease and discovering their personalities through the lens. This couple had a unique sense of humor!
She had an assistant on hand, which provided the opportunity to feel slightly useless and mostly in the way! Somehow I managed to catch a few fleeting moments (less than 3) and saved the day with ONE single photo, which shall remain unposted to protect the integrity of the photographer in chief! AND I got a great dinner out of it at a French wine bar after the wedding. We laughed until almost midnight about girly stuff. What a great day. I should crash weddings more often!
Fancy cake!
Wallow in the presence of wedding greatness...Stephanie Cristalli's team is one of the Seattle greats and offers wisdom and peace through doing what she loves. I feel very fortunate that she allows me to work with her. Some photographers point their noses in the air and scoff in disgust. I've had people hang up on me. Competition can be brutal and everyone struggles. But Stephanie is down-to-earth and shares her knowledge without the added drama. She's such a HUGE person to allow others to soak up her photography. It takes a strong person to do that. I'm thankful for her & Tracey. They just 'get it.'
Tag-team weddings are also a new trend in photography;like a photographic wrestling match! The photographers remain unobtrusive and cover more ground than 1 photographer alone. It also creates a network of creative vibes. Share and share alike.
The whole day was fun and beautiful! Here's the star of the day~ Miss Cristalli
Her fab assistant Tracey:
The happy newlyweds!
