MUCHO SOL AQUE!

I'm in LOVE with this culture! Here's a brief overview of our week on the lush tropical island of Puerto Rico. If you have the chance, you MUST come visit!

We cruised the West side of the island with Ray's relatives for several days. Sabana Grande had zero Americans, not much English, tons of color and many interesting things to photograph! And forget low-carb. It became very clear, carbs are intricately woven into the PRican cuisine. This lady sold deep fried beef & batter in a banana leaf, the hot juices sizzled in the napkin she handed me.
We're in old San Juan (tourist area) which is equally beautiful compared to the West side. Our amazingly affordable villa called the"Tres Palmas Inn" is 30 feet from the splashing waves of the ocean, unbelievable.

This is a garage door spotted in the old city. I think I'll blow this one up big for the office!
We also squeezed in a mini 'Mr. & Mrs.' photoshoot with the Sanchez's from Laredo, TX. We met them at the San Juan fortress- Such a cute newlywed couple on their honeymoon!
Buenos Noches!
Hugs,
April & Ray
p.s. by the end of the week we'll be back in Seattle! *sniffle*
