Fandango, we're in Santa Monica! Time for celebrating and shooting with Emily & Daniel! We just met this afternoon, with nearly a year of correspondance online behind us, meeting face to face was long overdue! Introducing the future Mr. & Mrs. Ross! We headed to 3rd street Promenade and later the beach.
The session detoured when Emily lost her balance with a BIG wave, she fell completely backwards into the water. I stared in shock as the waves crashed over her. I thought our plans for the day were ruined, but honestly it took the shoot to a new level. They're totally confident with themselves and with each other, it was cake.
I appreciated Emily's high energy nature, it meshed perfectly with Daniel's unpredictable & cheery personality! They're 100% sunshine & smiles. It sounds cheezy and although I don't "tow" the wedding lines and blab on my blog about how cool this person is or this wedding vendor is, Ray and I are genuinely excited to shoot each wedding regardless of size, location, budget or religion. We couldn't be more fortunate to do what we love and devote quality time with groovy people. Weddings & engagements are a personal and intimate family celebration, what is more important than finding love? Love conquers all baby.
These shoes mysteriously wound up in my suitcase. Incredibly cute. I have the perfect spot for them in my closet.
Finally, the critique part of the blog. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza last night @ LAX airport. GAG me with a spoon! Not impressive. They charge for: breakfast, parking, internet, the paper in front of our door. It was lame-o. The Holiday Inn in Tarzana, on other hand, WOW. Free white fluffy bathrobes, mouthwash (the things we can' t easily pack with our photo equipment), helpful staff, FREE internet, and free parking spaces! Its the little things that count. Its also 1/3 of the Crowne Plaza's price. Three thumbs up and a chihuahua.
Good night and good'day, time for shut eye. Big day ahead~ Check back for more photos of the wedding Sunday afternoon~ I'm so excited!
