Friday sealed a great week of shooting and working, a great client hired us to shoot her 30th b-day party on the East side of Seattle. The catered party turned out to be fun for everyone, although the munchkins lived it up being center of attention! Not sure why she chose the floor over her perfectly made bed. I noticed her feet tucked under the rocking, chair. Its hard to imagine them all grown up (sniffle, sniffle).
For more on what we do daily check out our flashy website with updated wedding availability here. Portrait website for munchkins, headshots, and seniors coming soon!!!
Regarding travel for this year we're headed to a bunch of fantastic spots, I'm very excited!!! Some of the locations include Charleston-NC, Pensacola-FL, Puerto Rico, Riviera Maya, Mexico Laguna Beach, La Jolla, Beverly Hills, San Juans, and who knows what's next!? Due to our hectic travel schedule and more exclusive availability, its likely that we'll only have two or three more openings for wedding commissions in 2007! If you haven't booked already, please be sure to contact us!

Hump Day- its almost the weekend!
Worked part of the day with Dustin K. He's new to modeling, but makes up for lost time!I take pride in him because I "discovered" him on Capitol Hill a few months ago! Ha!!! Dustin is one of Motofish's favorite talent, I'm usually assisting when I meet up with Dustin, but today I actually photographed him.
He's a bag of fun, easy to work with, directs his own posing routine, positive attitude, and he loves all the TV shows that I love!!! America's Next Top Model (ANTM), Workout with Jackie W, loves JT (coming to the Tacoma Dome in September)
Dustin is going places.

We miss you Grandma Greer
This tribute is to my Grandma Greer, she passed away two years ago, Easter Sunday. We would like to keep you close to our hearts this day. One of my most favorite recent memories of her...the whole Greer family flew in to brother's wedding in LA. We did not know at that time, nor did she know, that an illness was already present and would unexpectedly take her from us much, much too soon.
Her favorite phrase: Come give grandmama some suga!
Bertha Ethel Greer: Her kisses were like a butterflies wings, she was the epitome of a Southern woman; green bean casserole with 2 sticks of butter, grits for breakfast, cranberry sauce from the can, and always served super-sweet Southern style ice tea.
On those hot & humid summer days, she and my Auntie treated us to boxes of popsicles, the old school ones that you let hang from your mouth until our tongues turned colors. She once told me that a woman never sweats, she 'glows.' Grandma always gave big hugs and fish kisses. She showered us with 'sugar' even as we grew taller and eventually peeked over her forehead in our teens. She enjoyed telling us stories of yesterday and years past. Although my family moved around a lot somehow when we arrived at her house in Columbia, SC, there was a familiar scent of home. We knew grandma's perfume and her sweet powder scent awaited us. My dad is more like her than he admits. They're both avid readers, love the Sunday paper, control the TV, are big talkers. Similarly they both enjoy telling a good (long) story with multiple intertwining dimensions. In fact, my Grandma had the scoop on every building, family, local event, historical significance and always knew who is sleeping with whom, which she told us when we were old enough to understand. Ethel could literally talk her way out of anything (my dad hasn't mastered that skil). She was caught speeding one day (imagine that) and driving with expired tags or something. She sweet-talked the patrol officer so long that they both came to the conclusion that she and his mother attended school together and he let her drive away without penalty. A true Southern woman, sweet and well-read, she could also cook up a storm. Today I just want to remember you, in all of your sweetness, we miss you terribly, there's no one with that same warm heart and tough love. We love you and miss you so much~

Newbie @ TCM
This little guy just signed on with TCM models in Seattle, wishing him (and his momma) the best of luck! Here's a few snaps for his headshot session today...
Where is the sun?
When you have a bad day what cheers you up?
There's a slight problem in the Greer household! My usual coping methods for stress and rotten days have already been utilized: slow-churned double chocolate ice cream is out, dark chocolate is gone, my friends all work day jobs, and I've already been to the gym today (2 hours!).
Guess its time to watch cartoons and suck my thumb for a while. Where the hell is the sun!?!

Blue Skies
I ventured over to Aurora Ave. to scout locations for Motofish today. After cruising the boulevard for a bit, I spotted a groovy motel on the highway corner. Took a peek through the window of this motel and snapped a few shots with the owner's consent. You really don't want to see THOSE pics because frankly, they give me the willies!!! To think I was even near this place for more than a fleeting moment!!!
My adrenal system went haywire just stepping out of the car! In fact, my fight or flight response kicked in right away, too. I guess that's a sign of intuition, eh?
The Bridge motel was, to put it nicely, a very dated and non-color-coordinating place to hang your coat for the night. Perfect for what Motofish is looking for! Chris & Greg are crazy going forth with this idea, but hey, they have a vision...
I'm awarding myself 8 golden stars for mustering up the courage to carry out today's scouting assignment. April is a tiger. Also noticed these coolers piled up not too far away. Bodyparts maybe??

Kirsten + Patrick 03.24.07
Kirsten & Patrick married at the Ruins, 570 Roy in Seattle. A beautiful member's only Supper Club, Solomon Events covered the event (Thanks Lisa, Meg & Ashley!), Rented Elegance decorated with fabulous design, the flowers were off the hook it overwhelmed my senses!
Thank you Stephanie Cristalli!!! I requested to work for her several weeks ago and she agreed, a HUGE honor! I was on the edge of my seat to learn who she is behind the camera and how she facilitates her "cristalli" style weddings. I was floored by her low-key presence, knack for making things work in any lighting situation, above all she was such a hoot! Such a happy go-lucky chick, you'd almost mistake her for a guest, oh yeah, except for those 3 cameras and 2 Q-packs she carries. The bride & grooms families had Norwegian, Swedish and Danish roots. a little goofiness here and there...
